Gunbir Singh is President of Dilbir Foundation; Chairperson of Punjab State for Worldwide Fund for Nature; Senator, Guru Nanak University; Financial Secretary, Khalsa College Charitable Society, Amritsar; and a prominent writer and columnist. He was Founder Chairman, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) - Amritsar Zonal
Council and Chairman of Eco Amritsar and CII-Punjab State. Singh has contributed significantly to environmental advocacy, natural farming outreach, citizens' wellness platforms, and awareness programmes for sustainable households. Singh led the CII delegation in 2010 with CM Punjab to Turkey, Egypt, Israel, and UAE, emphasising business and research for Punjab's development, particularly in water, environment, and agriculture. He also chaired the session on Trans-boundary Aquifers in the Indus Basin at the Indo-Pak Roundtable on Water in February 2014 as part of Track II diplomacy in Bengaluru. He has received prestigious awards like the Parman Patra for Service to Society and the Shri Anandpur Sahib Award for Service to Environment. He has written the book Biba The Ginger.
